Introduction

Grapefruit extract comes from fruit of Citrus paradisi Macf, which contains vitamin C, vitamin A, beta-carotene, lycopene, dietary fiber and potassium. Naringin contained in grapefruit extract has functions of anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiviral, antibacterial and inhibitory effects on eye aldose reductase. It can also be used as raw materials for the synthesis of new sweeteners naringin dihydrochalcone with high sweetness, non-toxicity and low energy. Grapefruit extract also has antioxidant properties and could be used in other fields.
