Massa Medicata Fermentata (MMF), has been used for a long time by the Chinese people. The production process is as below:

Using chopped fresh artemisia, polygonum flaccidum and xanthium sibiricum, which need 6kgs for each herb.

Adding 3kgs of crushing red bean, and 3kgs of crushing almonds (need to be peeled) in it, mix them well.

Then adding 50kgs bran and 30kgs flour into it, infunde an appropriate amount of water, also mix them well.

After mixing, knead them into a ball. Covering it with straw or sack after flattening. Place it for fermentation, take it out when the appearance of the yellow mycelium grows, and cut it into a small piece about 3cm, then dried for use.
